Corporate Work Study:
Program Overview

INVEST IN TALENT. TRANSFORM LIVES. STRENGTHEN YOUR WORKFORCE.

Organizations that partner with Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School’s Corporate Work Study Program help us sustain an innovative model where 100% of students build professional experience, gain college acceptance, and fund their education.

The Corporate Work Study Program (CWS) at Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School is a federally recognized work study model that blends rigorous academics with meaningful, real-world work experience. Every student works one full day per week in a professional setting, developing the skills, confidence, and experience needed to succeed in college and beyond. CWS is a fully registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.

Life-changing opportunities for students

All CRB students attend classes four days per week and work one full day per week from September to June, modeling the "9 to 5" workday in entry-level positions at dozens of leading businesses, law firms, higher education institutions and various civic, philanthropic and governmental entities across NYC and beyond. Students develop the skills, confidence, and experience needed to succeed in college and throughout the start of their professional lives. Students work a specific day each week that corresponds with their class year—academic courses, extended school days, and summer academic options are structured to ensure that students never miss class.

Host Students. Sponsor Students. Or Do Both.

Whether your organization can host students onsite or prefers to support the program through sponsorship, there is a meaningful way to partner. Every partnership directly supports a model that places 100% of Cristo Rey Brooklyn students in professional work environments.

The entry fee for CWS partners is $25,000, which sponsors two students' work study commitment. We encourage all partners to sponsor at least two students, creating the ideal "coworker experience" that supports collaboration, confidence, and long-term success.
