Admission Process

Cristo Rey Brooklyn is a Catholic high school partnering with families of all creeds to educate deserving young people from underserved communities to become men and women of faith, purpose and service. *Families who submitted an early application and the child is accepted receives a $100 discount on the registration fee.*

Admission Process

Step 1: Submit an Online Application Families could either submit an online applicantion or scan/fax a physical application to admissions@cristoreybrooklyn.org, faxed to (718) 455-3556.

Step 2: Required Documents Gather all required documents and submit all materials to admissions@cristoreybrooklyn.org with your child’s name as the subject title: - Request for Transcript Form - Character Reference Form - Teacher Recommendation Form, completed by a current year English or Math teacher - Copy of 7th and 8th grade report cards (8th and 9th grade report cards for 10th grade transfer applicants) - Copy of birth certificate (note to enroll in Cristo Rey, applicants must be 14 by Fall term, 2024) - Copy of recent immunization/COVID vaccination card/Health Records

Step 3: Financial Aid Complete the Financial Aid Application for student Aid. Families are required to register and create an account in FACTS. Complete the online application and upload all required documents.

Step 4: Applicant Attends an Interview and Assessments. Once we have reviewed the completed application, the Admissions Office will determine whether or not you will be invited for an interview and assessment. Interviews for Round 1 will be held in early January. The Admissions Office will contact you if we require any additional action steps or information.

Required Documents

  • Do I have to wait for my student's completed 8th Grade or 9th Grade (transfers) report card to apply?
    No, we can look at the most recent grades or progress report. All current classes need one marking period.
  • Do you accept transfers?
    Cristo Rey Brooklyn accepts Sophomore transfer students only. Due to limited spots for transfers, we are looking for students with a B average and strong character references. Courses already taken are also considered to ensure they fit with the curriculum at CRB.
  • Do I have to complete the FACTS (online financial aid application) if I do not need financial aid?
    Yes. All applicants must complete the FACTS in order to move forward in the application process. Visit https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/4KS0Z . All tax documentation must be sent directly to FACTS. For any questions about your FACTS application, please contact (866)315-9263.
  • I do not have a scanner or fax, how can I submit my documents?"
    If you do not have the elctronic version of your documents, we suggest using phone apps to scan the documents. These free apps include: Genius Scan App (iOs and Android), Notes App (iOs)
  • Is the TACHS exam required in the application?
    The TACHS exam is not required for admission to Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School.
  • How are students learning during Covid-19?
    Currently we have all grade levels learning in-person. The school has updated equipment and safety procedures that align with CDC guidelines.
  • What companies do the students work for?
    Students work at a variety of Banks, Financial Services, Health, Insurance, Law Firms, Colleges, and Nonprofits. A list of our corproate work study partners can be found on the CWSP Page.
